After five days of hard work, I have cleared "Black Myth: Wukong". This is a game that has captivated me so much after The Legend of Zelda. Every day, I dream of that staff technique.
As mentioned earlier, I couldn't get past the Tiger Vanguard on the PS5. So I purchased it on the Steam platform and used Fengling Yueying to reduce the difficulty of the game. With my gaming skills, after setting unlimited lives and full critical points, I can happily play. Then I increased the movement speed by three times. Currently, I have played for 20 hours and cleared the first playthrough. I also explored the hidden maps of each area, defeated Erlang Shen, but didn't bring the Golden Hoop.
Before I cleared it myself, I kept watching other people's speedrun endings to see what hidden endings there are besides the bad ending with the Golden Hoop and the ending without the Golden Hoop. I believe many people are not very satisfied with the current ending. When I cleared it myself, I suddenly felt it made sense. The game has players play as the destined one to find the six roots of the Great Sage, but the old monkey said that the "intention" root was missing. However, isn't the memory that emerges after defeating Erlang Shen the so-called "intention"? So, collecting all six roots is the modern Great Sage. Conversely, if Erlang Shen is not defeated, then there won't be this "intention", and in the end, the Golden Hoop will be put on again to go through reincarnation. Thinking like this seems reasonable.
After changing into the Great Sage outfit at Huaguo Mountain, equipping the Ruyi Golden Cudgel, and performing the Great Sage's staff technique, it really feels like becoming the Great Sage.
(There is no image here, forgot to capture, already started the second playthrough)
I have to say, the art of this game is amazing, and the details are very well done. For example, Zhu Bajie and the destined one will have different dialogues in different scenes, and even in Huaguo Mountain, he will teach you how to fight. For example, if your staff technique is not enough to break his move, he will say "Your staff technique is low", during the immobilization technique, if the timing is not right, he will say "Is this set?" If you immobilize the enemy just as they attack, he will say "Well done with the immobilization". There are many such Easter egg dialogues, such as transforming when facing Erlang Shen.
In the first playthrough, I was obedient, but in the second playthrough, even without using modifiers, the big-headed doll that tormented me a thousand times in the first playthrough was easily defeated with just a three-bean charge + clone, leaving it at half health. Of course, the monsters' toughness and damage are much higher than in the first playthrough.
