Another month has passed.
This year, I will basically only write one journal entry each month. There are few events happening in life, and my desire to express myself has faded a lot.
Gathering for a Moment#
Since last month, I haven't gone to many places this month. Thanks to a friend from the group who passed by, I stayed at my home for one night, and to celebrate a birthday, we had a meal together. That day, I didn't feel too lonely, which was quite touching. The next day, I went to Shanghai with them, where we had a Japanese buffet with friends, unlocking a new way of eating. Since I don't eat raw seafood, cooking sweet shrimp in a sukiyaki pot was also delicious. I ended up showing off about twenty of them. There were also other skewers and grilled dishes, and I can still eat quite a bit. However, losing weight has always been a big issue. (I originally wanted to see if there were any photos, but I found that I didn't take any.)
In the days that followed, I didn't leave the city again. The farthest I went was to the suburbs of the county town to see flowers with a former high school classmate. The reason was 'Zhejiang "Aletai" - Xiaohongshu', but it was a misleading photo, and I couldn't find where it was.
I finally finished watching the first season of "The Lost Furlin," which many people have praised. Recently, there have been quite a few joint activities, but unfortunately, there are no such activities in the place where I live. Human life is short, and missing opportunities can lead to regrets. Live in the moment and cherish the time spent with loved ones; these moments will become precious memories.

Last month, I mentioned that I would have a free trial of FSD for a month, but it was later halted. I had been eager to experience it, but after asking many times, I couldn't test it in the store. Finally, I recently had the opportunity to try it out. However, from my experience, it wasn't as amazing as advertised online. First of all, it had a mishap right at the start, running a red light and requiring emergency braking in the middle. Then it went into the wrong lane, making a left turn from a straight lane. Finally, it went wrong on a construction road, crossing a solid line into a non-motorized vehicle lane. Overall, the ride was quite comfortable, but it definitely failed the first test.
Initial Exploration of Photography#
I don't know when I suddenly had the idea of wanting to buy a camera. Although I don't know how to take photos at all. After a friend in Shanghai used a Fujifilm, this thought became even stronger. However, in 2025, wanting to buy a machine produced in 2020 actually requires a premium, whether through a lottery in a physical store or waiting online to grab it is quite absurd. After some time, I found an authorized store on Taobao, added a 35mm fixed lens, and purchased the kit for 1650 at the original price. Then I learned about photography. I can drive out and take some pictures of the scenery. Here are a few that I think are okay.
Project Restart#
Occasionally, I need to write Swift for work. In my spare time, I'm also re-entering native development for Apple devices. This time, I chose to rewrite a macOS app I wrote two years ago - Process Reporter. This app is used to report the current app and media I am using to Mix Space. On my website, it is presented as:
Two years ago, I used immature SwiftUI to put together a version that was full of bugs and not very comprehensive. This time, I chose to rewrite it primarily using AppKit, with SwiftUI as a supplement. After about two weeks of marathon work and gradual polishing, the functionality is now basically similar.
This time, I enhanced the recognition of media processes. Now it can accurately identify which player is playing the music. (PS. macOS has strengthened control over private interfaces in version 15.4 and later, causing subsequent versions to be unable to recognize any media information properly). Additionally, I added a feature to automatically upload app icons to an image hosting service, allowing icons to display correctly even for apps that are not pre-set.
Finally, there's something even more fun. If you use Slack for work, you can achieve this effect.
It can be achieved with very simple settings:
