Just now, after I submitted code to GitHub for the first time today, I also completed a small goal set more than three months ago - a 100-day streak.
I persevered, which is a precious thing for someone like me who is inconsistent.
The determination to streak on GitHub comes from the GitHub Roaming Guide, by the author Huang Fengda.
What did I do in these 100 days?
Starting from the secondary development of the Typecho theme, from ignorance to gradual maturity.
From zero to entry-level in CSS3, JavaScript. Learning and using the new syntax of ES6. Trying out frameworks like Vue.
Writing a small webpage? That's also a good way to pass the time. You can learn something from it.
Simply reading books can be tiring, but practical projects are very exciting. Facing challenges is a good learning opportunity.
From the past two weeks until today, I have been working on Typecho theme development. From this, I have learned a lot. Knowledge doesn't just come from books, sometimes it's a process of self-exploration.
The road ahead is long, this is both the end and the beginning.
Final Words#
As the end of the term approaches, I need to spend more time on course study. I am still not focused, which is a big problem.
Recently, Bilibili has been recommending me videos about interviews, and I have learned a lot. In recent years, the Internet industry has been oversaturated, with an excess of people with weak technical skills, mostly from training institutions. Secondly, education is very important, some companies underestimate your abilities because of your education, thinking that your abilities are not worth that much money. Abilities are not recognized.
I am someone who worries too much about the future compared to others around me. I am afraid of not being able to find a job.
Among people of the same age around me, there are many who are mediocre, but also many who are strong. The mediocre ones naturally live carefree every day, not caring about the future; the strong ones naturally don't have to worry about the future, as they will surely be welcomed by top companies. And I am the one in the middle.
