Crossing Yunnan, Shuttling through the Screen

The company organized a team building trip to Yunnan Dali and Lijiang for four days.

This is also my first time visiting the western region of China, which is more than two thousand kilometers away from home. Since I have been working remotely at home for a long time and have not met other colleagues in person, I am both nervous and excited.

I departed from Shanghai. Due to the flight delay, I missed the itinerary for the first day. After arriving in Dali, it was already dinner time. After dinner, I went back to the hotel with my colleagues to rest. It is said that they had already visited three places before, which is a bit of a pity.

There was no itinerary for the second day, so I spent the whole day coding in the hotel.

The third day was just the beginning for me.

In the morning, we went to Dali Ancient City. After lunch, we went for a walk at the famous Erhai Lake S Bay. Personally, I am not sensitive to ancient cities, but I am attracted to the scenery of S Bay and watching people riding bikes, feeding seagulls by the seaside, taking photos, and internet celebrities live streaming. This slow-paced life is what I long for.

In the afternoon, we went to Lijiang. We visited Lijiang Ancient City and got up early in the morning to see the sunrise at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The sunrise was beautiful. We experienced the mountain cableway, which ascended to an altitude of 4506 meters. This was my first time experiencing such a high altitude and my first time overlooking the mountains from a viewing platform at such a high altitude. It made me feel like everything else was small.

Afterwards, we went to the Blue Moon Valley and washed our hands in the Baishui River. It is said that you can hear your inner voice and bring good luck at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. We took a sightseeing electric car and visited the beautiful scenery of this generation. Although it was the off-season for tourism, there were still many people. We also saw many couples taking wedding photos here. The sky was so blue, the water was so clear, the mountains were so quiet, and the people were so beautiful. The last stop was Shuhe Ancient Town. The ancient town here is different from the ancient city of Dali. The ancient town here is more like a small town with its own life, rhythm, and culture. People live here, and people live here.

Overall, this trip was great. Although we followed the tour guide and the itinerary was tight, we were either sitting in the car or walking at the scenic spots. However, this trip allowed me to experience the beauty of Yunnan and the beauty of traveling. At the same time, after communicating with my colleagues, we got to know each other better and the cohesion within the team became stronger.
